"Virtual Edit has two editor modes of operation to suit everyones needs: DV Edit 123 and Multi Edit"

DV Edit 123 mode is for people who primarily want to edit digital video from
a DV or Digital 8 camcorder. Simply plug your camera into your PC and:
1 Capture - 2 Edit Your Movie - 3 Write a DV File
Multi Edit mode is for people who have a mixed format of video data from
a variety of different sources. Multi Edit Mode uses an Indeo video compressor to
convert your video data into a naive format, ready for editing in Virtual Edit.
The Indeo compressor is not supplied, you must already have it on
your PC. Most versions of MS Windows are shipped with Indeo V3.2 or V5.x
video compressors. But if you do not have it, you can get it from ligos
